When we perform a full wedding production for a client, we have a unique opportunity to get to know them very well, very fast. There’s an accelerated bonding process that comes out of that, forged through the trial-by-fire of wedding planning, and we become sort of insta-family. That, combined with the fact that we don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all vendor list, is why we love playing matchmaker and hand-pairing our clients with the vendors who best sync with their respective personalities. Such is the case with Athena and Daniel (one of the most laid back, easy-going, good humored couples we’ve ever had the pleasure of working with) and Mike & Courtney of Mike L. Photography (one of the most laid back, easy going, good humored husband & wife photography teams we’ve ever met). Athena & Daniel’s engagement shoot took place in multiple locations, but it’s the photographs taken in the couple’s home - alongside their love of a dog Miss Cleo - that get me. They’re just So. Darn. Authentic. They capture the couple in exactly the place where they live, both literally and figuratively, and the “real-ness” of the shots is just super-sweet. Mike & Courtney have a great blog post showcasing Athena & Daniel’s story so please click over to their site to see more. And stay tuned here as we have more of their gorgeous work coming soon!
